Warp Kings didn’t let a global lockdown stop the music. Formed in early 2020 when the live music industry ground to a halt, this virtual rock supergroup features a powerhouse lineup of industry veterans collaborating across thousands of kilometers from their respective home studios.
The project brings together iconic rhythmic muscle and elite guitar work, featuring Mike Kroeger (bassist and co-founder of Nickelback), Brandon Kroeger (Nickelback’s original drummer), Scott Holman (Scottrocker), Robert Renman (guitarist and mastermind behind Master Guitar Academy), and Greg Kisser. Driven by pure musical chemistry, what began as a remote, one-off cover of Faith No More’s alternative metal masterpiece "Midlife Crisis" instantly snowballed into a permanent, hard-hitting rock collaboration.
Operating entirely independently, Warp Kings track and record their individual parts remotely before stitching them together into massive, stadium-ready mixes with the help of producer Murray Yates (Echoman Records). They specialize in breathing fresh, heavy-rock fire into the classic tracks that shaped them—delivering high-production, guitar-driven reimaginings of anthems like Pink Floyd’s "Comfortably Numb", Simple Minds' "Don't You (Forget About Me)", and The Beatles' "Hey Bulldog".
Whether they are burning up streaming playlists from opposite sides of the continent or occasionally stepping out of the virtual world onto the live stage, Warp Kings prove that real rock 'n' roll knows no borders.

Curds and Whey is a Vancouver-based rock and alternative country outfit that seamlessly blends massive, stadium-ready grooves with rustic storytelling. Sharing several key creative minds with the virtual supergroup Warp Kings—including Scott Holman (vocals/guitar) and Greg Kisser (keys)—the project takes a decidedly raw, ground-level approach to heavy music.
The band’s 2025 self-titled debut highlights a rotating cast of rock heavyweights and elite session musicians. The album boasts a powerful rhythm section anchored by alternating drummers like Brandon Kroeger (Nickelback), Ryan Vikedal (Nickelback), and Robin Diaz (Daughtry), alongside bassists like Tim Charman and Lisa Dodd Watts. Layered with the ripping guitar work of Chris Turner, the soaring vocals of Alissa Thibault, Curds and Whey creates a sound that is both deeply rooted in Canadian rock tradition and wildly unpredictable.
Co-produced alongside longtime collaborator Murray Yates, their music bridges the gap between high-energy, rowdy party anthems like "Straight From The Bottle" and guitar-driven rock-and-roll masterclasses like "Bet On The Ace".
Whether they are blowing the roof off iconic West Coast live music venues or delivering stripped-down acoustic sets, Curds and Whey serve up a potent mix of heavy-hitting rock and alt-country grit that's unfiltered.
Turn up the Party! is the debut album. Spin it loud!
